First, A Dream
Imagine a porcelain-tiled roof and a wooden sliding door and an entryway filled with the scent of bamboo and incense. Around the corner stands a barista, serving her customers tea and coffee and freshly-baked sourdough.Â
Past the cafe comes a buzz of activity. Freelancers, writers, coders, and students from Tokyo and around the world type away at their computers and put their noses into their textbooks. Others step to the foyer for a quick break. They observe the rock garden formations below and they overlook the quiet forest and the thatched roofs out in the distance.Â
